CT scan
Computed tomography scan is one of the most popular diagnostic tests. It allows for the correct detection of many disease lesions in the form of multi-layer cross-sections of the examined object. It is completely painless and non-invasive, so patients can count on high-quality results with almost complete safety of the procedure.A computed tomography scan involves generating a certain number of images using X-rays. The CT scanner used in dentistry is located near the patient's head, which makes it possible to create several images on different planes. Thanks to this, the dentist has the opportunity to learn more about the ailment being examined and better prepare a treatment plan. The image obtained during this test is transferred to a computer with specialised software that creates two-dimensional and three-dimensional models. However, for this to be possible, it is crucial to instruct the patient to remain completely still. Any movement during the CT scanner operation may lead to disruptions in the diagnostic results.
Dental implants
Dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth. Most often it is made of titanium (less often of zirconium), in the shape of a cylinder or a slightly truncated cone. In cases of narrow bone, it may be wedge-shaped. In our clinic, we only use implants from approved brands. If you want to choose the implant brand, please let your doctor know.
3D scanner
Kodak Cearstream 3D scanner. Modern prosthetics is moving away from traditional dental impressions. Thanks to the camera, you immediately get a 3D image of your teeth and mouth. Based on this, a 3D printer creates the model for your dentures. This speeds up the process of creating the dentures and improves their accuracy
Panoramic radiograph
A panoramic radiograph is nothing more than a panoramic x-ray of the teeth, made using a panoramic radiography machine. Its characteristic feature is that it enables you to capture not only teeth, but also adjacent structures and tissues. These features are crucial in creating the right treatment plan for the patient. The diagnostics based on a panoramic radiograph is extremely important in everyday dental practice.Panoramic radiography procedureA scan using a panoramic radiograph involves x-raying the patient's head using x-ray beams, which allows you to capture not only the teeth, but also the periodontium, temporomandibular joints and even the maxillary sinuses. The patient is standing or lying down with their head placed under the machine. In order to perform this test with maximum accuracy, the patient holds a special bite piece with their teeth. After positioning the patient in this way, the panoramic radiography machine emits a beam of x-rays. This scan is completely safe and very fast — the exposure time does not exceed several seconds.
Cephalometry
In order to take care of your health, we have equipped our clinic with professional radiological equipment. The most frequently used image in orthodontics, i.e. cephalogram, is taken using our ONE-SHOT system. This allows to obtain a very accurate image using a minimal dose of radiation.
Articulator
A device used in orthodontics, prosthetic dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. It is used to record the position of the mandible relative to the maxilla, taking into account the movements in the temporomandibular joints.
